1.0 OBJECTIVE: 1.1 To lay down a procedure for cleaning and operating procedure of Cartooning Machine. 2.0 SCOPE: 2.1 This SOP is dedicated for Cartooning machines “PAC” installed in packing hall at ground floor. 2.2 This procedure is applicable for formulation plant. 3.0 RESPONSIBILITY: 3.1 Trained Operators are responsible for Cleaning And Operating Procedure Of Cartooning Machine as per the procedure mentioned in this SOP. 3.2 Production Officer / Supervisor are responsible for implementation of the procedure as per this SOP. 3.3 Production Head is responsible for compliance of procedure as per this SOP. 4.0 PROCEDURE: 4.1 Cleaning Procedure: 4.1.1 Affix status label “MACHINE UNDER CLEANING” on sign board on machine. 4.1.2 Switch “OFF” the electrical supply from mains. 4.1.3 Wipe the Cartooning machine with dry clean lint free cloth. If required use 70% IPA. 4.1.4 After cleaning affix a status label “CLEANED” should be duly filled and signed as per SOP No. XXX. 4.1.5 Maintain the cleaning Records in Machine Log Book as per SOP XXX. To read this SOP click here SOP for Cleaning of In process Stainless Steel items Used In Production. 4.2 Operating Procedure: 4.2.1 Before starting of operation, check the status label “CLEANED” should be duly filled and signed and ensure that the area and equipment are cleaned, after verification, remove “CLEANED” status label and attach in BMR. 4.2.2 Affix status label “BATCH IN PROCESS” should be duly filled and signed as per SOP NO. XXX. 4.2.3 Switch “ON” the power supply from mains. 4.2.4 Switch “ON” the Air supply; it should not be less than 6.0 kg/cm2. 4.2.5 Machine set as Auto mode or Manual mode. Note 1: Machine will run in auto mode only, In case verification function of machine set in manual mode and after verification of certain function machine reset in auto mode. 4.2.6 In auto mode all parameters will be set automatically. 4.2.7 Set the machine speed wherever required. 4.2.8 Before start run the machine in Inch mode to ensure that there is no unwanted or abnormal noise and obstacle observed if observed rectified immediately then run the machine. 4.2.9 During Inch mode Green and Yellow LED of Tower Indicator should be frequently glow with buzzer alternate condition. 4.2.10 Feed over printed carton and leaflet (if required) manually on carton magazine. 4.2.11 Press the run green button of main machine motor and machine should be run and green LED of tower indicator should be glow. 4.2.12 Operator should be ensure that following interlocking function before running of machine e.g. No Tube No Carton sensor, Functioning of pusher overload, Pressure Gauge indicate required pressure of air, Machine guard should be closed, Functioning of emergency switch, Glow and Buzzer of tower indicator. 4.2.13 When filled tube from Tube Filling Machine are been transferred to the product conveyor with the help of interconnection assembly then after it the tubes gets dropped into product conveyor. 4.2.14 In case of emergency or any unwanted noise and malfunctioning of machine press RED button immediately to stop all the machine function at once. 4.2.15 Red LED of tower indicator should be frequently glowing with buzzer. 4.2.16 HMI of machine should be shown error of affecting function of machine. 4.2.17 Machine should be run after acknowledge of error from HMI. 4.2.18 On rectification of observed error machine run after releasing of emergency switch (if pressed). 4.2.19 During maintenance or rectification of error yellow LED of tower indicator should be glow. 4.2.20 Maintain the record the of machine operation details in Machine Log Book as per XXX.
