1.0 OBJECTIVE To lay down the procedure for cleaning of raw material sampling kit. 2.0 SCOPE This SOP is applicable for Cleaning of Raw Material Sampling kit in quality control department. 3.0 RESPONSIBILITY QC – Officer/ Sr. Officer /Executive 4.0 ACCOUNTABILITY Head-QC 5.0 PROCEDURE 5.1 On the completion of the sampling of each material, ensure that the used equipment’s are transferred into the poly pack wrap labelled as “To Be Cleaned”. 5.2 Bring the poly pack wrap to the washing area in raw material store. 5.3 Remove poly pack wrap from the tools. 5.4 First wash the sampling tools with Teepol solution with the help of scrubber/nylon brush. 5.5 Wash the sampling tools with raw water after that, the sampling tools with purified water twice. 5.6 Sampling tools after purified water wash are rinsed with 70.0% v/v IPA. 5.7 Place the sampling tools under the compressed air dryer and ensure complete drying. 5.8 After drying, wrap the sampling tools in poly pack and the pack is labelled as “CLEANED”. 5.9 At the end of cleaning operation after drying, the chemist inspects the tools, makes a record of it in the sampling kit cleaning record, and fixes a status label on it. 5.10 The cleaned sampling tools are to be labelled with status label as cleaned and cleaning status valid up to 2 days from the date of cleaning as per format number XXX. 5.11 If the sampling tools are not used within 2 days, sampling tools required to be cleaned once again before sampling. 6.0 ABBREVIATIONS SOP – Standard Operating Procedure No. – Number IPA – Isopropyl Alcohol |
