| 1.0 OBJECTIVE: 1.1 To lay down a procedure for Operation of Air Compressor and Drier. 2.0 SCOPE: 2.1 This procedure is applicable for the Air Compressor and Drier. 3.0 RESPONSIBILITY: 3.1 The concerned Technician shall carry out the Standard Operating Procedure. 3.2 The Officer -Engineering shall be responsible for implementation of Standard Operating Procedure. 3.3 Head Engineering Department shall ensure the compliance of Standard Operating Procedure. 4.0 ABBREVIATIONS 4.1 SOP : Standard Operating Procedure 4.2 CWI : Cooling water inlet valve 4.3 CWO : Cooling water outlet valve 4.4 AD : Air discharge valve 4.5 RO : Receiver outlet valve 4.6 DI : Dryer inlet valve 4.7 DO : Dryer outlet valve 4.8 DAD : Dryer auto drain valve To read this SOP click here SOP for Operating And Cleaning Procedure For Automatic Liquid Bottle Filling Machine. 5.0 PROCEDURE: 5.1 PROCEDURE FOR AIR COMPRESSOR: 5.1.1 PRE-START UP AIR COMPRESSOR 5.1.1.1 Switch “ON” the dryer by from “ON/OFF switch given on the dryer. 5.1.1.2 Check the cooling tower water level if the level is ok, then open the cooling water inlet valve CWI-V1 and outlet valve CWO-V2 of the after cooler & open the cooling water pump inlet valve CP-V1orV2 & outlet valve CP-V3 or V4. 5.1.1.3 Start the cooling water pump and ensure the inlet and outlet pressure should be >1.5 kg/cm2. 5.1.1.4 Check the air discharge valve. If it is close then open this valve (AD-V1, AD-V2). 5.1.1.5 Check the air receiver outlet valve (RO-V1). 5.1.1.6 Check the air dryer inlet valve DI-V1 & outlet valve DO-V2 5.1.1.7 Check oil level in air Comp. from sight glass. 5.1.2 START UP AIR COMPRESSOR: 5.1.2.1 Start the compressor by ON push button. 5.1.2.2 Check all pneumatics auto drain valve (PAD-V1) 5.1.2.3 Check loading & unloading pressure of air Compressor. 5.1.2.4 Monitor and Record the all parameters in log sheet. 5.1.3 SHUT DOWN OF AIR COMPRESSOR: 5.1.3.1 Stop the compressor by OFF push button. 5.1.3.2 Stop the cooling water pump. 5.1.3.3 Stop the air dryer from on off selector switch. |
