1.0 OBJECTIVE: 1.1 To lay down a procedure for Operating And Cleaning Procedure For Conveyor Belt. 2.0 SCOPE: 2.1 This procedure is applicable for the Operating And Cleaning Procedure For Conveyor Belt. 3.0 RESPONSIBILITY: 3.1 Trained operator shall be responsible for operating and cleaning the machine as per the procedure mentioned in this SOP. 3.2 Production Officer / Supervisor shall be responsible for implementation of the procedure as per this SOP. 3.3 Production Head shall be responsible for compliance of procedure as per SOP. 4.0 PROCEDURE: 4.1 Operating Procedure 4.1.1 Before starting conveyor belt ensure that conveyor belt is properly cleaned. 4.1.2 Mention the status label on sign board. 4.1.3 Switch “ON” the start button of the conveyor belt from the main switch and then by pushing green push button of starter. 4.1.4 Observe the direction of belt it must run in opposite direction of the tube filling machine. If not, stop the conveyor belt by pressing red button from switch board. 4.1.5 Inform the engineering person for setting. After setting, clean the belt with dry clean duster. Then start the belt as per point no. – 5.1.3. 4.1.6 Switch “OFF” the conveyor belt after completion of activity, by pressing red push button from the conveyor belt and from the main switch also. 4.1.7 Keep switch “OFF” of the conveyor belt during each break, at the end of shift and when there is no activity. 4.1.8 Record the activity of packing on conveyer belt in BPR. To read this SOP Click here SOP for Decartooning And Cleaning Of Tubes/Pouch From Corrugated Box. 4.2 Cleaning Procedure 4.2.1 Switch “OFF” the conveyor belt from operating and main switch before starting the machine. 4.2.2 Clean the conveyor belt, conveyor table, S.S. stand with dry cotton duster. 4.2.3 Wipe the conveyor belt, conveyor table, S.S. stand with wet cotton duster. If required use 70% IPA for wet moping. 4.2.4 Clean the whole conveyor belt with dry and clean cotton duster. 4.2.5 Mention the status label on sign board. 4.2.6 If belt is not in use, clean the belt before use.
