5.0 Procedure of Digital Balance
5.1 Operation of Digital Balance
5.1.1 Check whether the instrument is calibrated or not. Instrument should be calibrated before use.
5.1.2 Switch on the machine.
5.1.3 The balance does a self-check (count down) and it will show U t gm. then it will come to weighing Mode 0.00.
5.1.4 Place the tare on the pan, and press TARE KEY, The balance displays 0.00.
5.1.5 Place the object to be weighed in the container. Wait to the OK indicator to be displayed and read the value.
5.1.6 At the end of the day, switch off the power supply.
5.2 CALIBRATION of Digital Balance
5.2.1 Carry out calibration before making use of the balance.
5.2.2 Switch “ON” the main power supply.
5.2.3 Clean the balance and its surrounding area.
5.2.4 Warm up the balance for at least half an hour with nothing on the pawn hold MODE and power ON.
5.2.5 Do not release the switch till you get ALERT on the display, display will show you CAL.
5.2.6 Press CAL key. Display will show you the machine capacity and will read EMPTY. And LOAD Automatically.
5.2.7 Keep standard weight on the pan i.e. 200g Press key display will read show you
5.2.8 Press CAL key Display will show you 200.00 after few second.
5.2.9 After some time display will show you the weight kept on the pan. Now the balance is calibrated according to the standard weight.
5.2.10 Ensure that the weights used for checking are standard and certified.
5.2.11 Prepare the record of calibration.
