| 1.0 OBJECTIVE: 1.1 To lay down a procedure for Preventive Maintenance For Cooling Tower. 2.0 SCOPE: 2.1 This procedure is applicable the Preventive Maintenance For Cooling Tower. 3.0 RESPONSIBILITY: 3.1 Preventive Maintenance Procedure : Concerned Technician 3.2 Implementation of Preventive maintenance Procedure : Officer Engineering 3.3 Compliance of Preventive Maintenance Procedure. : Head of Engineering Department To Read this SOP Click here SOP for Operation & Cleaning Of Quarantine Storage Tanks. 4.0 ABBREVIATIONS 4.1 SOP : Standard Operating Procedure 4.2 CC NO : Change Control Number 5.0 PROCEDURE: 5.1 Bi-Monthly schedule: 5.1.1 Switch off the main supply & hang the Preventive maintenance Display board on the main panel. 5.1.2 Check for any abnormal sound in the cooling water pump and motor. 5.1.3 Check for any abnormal sound in the cooling tower fan and motor. 5.1.4 Lubricate the motor bearings, if necessary. 5.1.5 Check for any leakage of water through the glands Tighten the glands, if necessary. 5.1.6 Clean the strainer whenever necessary. 5.1.7 Switch on the power supply & run the cooling Tower and Check for proper distribution of water through the sprinklers. 5.1.8 Check the cooling towers water tank level and open soft water if necessary 5.1.9 Add the corrosion inhibitor (I-9265) as per required dose ( 300ml/day) to prevent corrosion 5.1.10 Record all the observation in the Preventive Maintenance Checklist and Spare Parts Used list. |
