| Preventive Maintenance of the qc instrument |
1.0 OBJECTIVE 1.1 To lay down the procedure for preventive maintenance of the qc instrument. 2.0 SCOPE 2.1 This SOP is applicable for preventive maintenance of the qc department. 3.0 RESPONSIBILITY 3.1 QC – Executive/ Assistant manager. 4.0 ACCOUNTABILITY 4.1 Head-QC 5.0 PROCEDURE 5.1 Preventive maintenance should be performed in house or through service engineer of the instrument. 5.2 Take the annual maintenance contract for all critical instruments and maintain the schedule in consultation with vendor. 5.3 Preventive maintenance for critical instruments is to be done by trained service engineer of the respective vendor. For all other instruments which are not included in maintenance contract, is to be done by engineering department. 5.4 Preventive maintenance should be done twice in a year for the entire instrument. 5.5 For any breakdown of those instruments which are covered under annual maintenance contract shall be repaired by trained service engineers. Minor repair of instrument which is not in the maintenance contract, shall be done in the maintenance department. In case of major breakdown of instrument shall be consulted with service engineer. 5.6 In case of any major fault / breakdown in any instrument, after repairing the instrument shall be calibrated as per the SOP. |
