1.0 OBJECTIVE: –
1.1 To maintain the Procedure to prepare cleaning & Operation of Vacuum tray dryer.
2.0 SCOPE:
2.1 To prevent cross contamination between different products. This procedure is applicable for cleaning & Operation of Vacuum Tray dryer in production areas.
3.0 RESPONSIBILITY:

5.0 Procedure
5.1 Procedure for cleaning
5.1.1 Remove “TO BE CLEAN” tag from equipment.
5.1.2 Turn “OFF” the electric supply & remove the main plug after finish the works.
5.1.3 Remove all trays with tray stand from the dryer and take it to the washing area.
5.1.4 Remove all trays from tray stand one by one and wash it with tape water.
5.1.5 Again wash it with DM water.
5.1.6 Wash tray stand with tape water to remove dust and adhered particles if any and keep all trays in to the stand in inverted position.
5.1.7 Allow the stand and trays to remain in washing area till drying.
5.1.8 Clean inner parts and outer surface of the Vacuum Tray dryer chamber using a clean lint free cloth.
5.1.9 Move the stand from washing area and keep it in to the drying chamber.
5.1.10 Switch ON the mains of tray drier and gives heat to it.
5.1.11 Allow the trays to dry at 60-70 C for 10 to 15 minutes.
5.1.12 FREQUENCY: Product to product changes over & batch to batch proper cleaning in production department.
5.1.13 Open the exhaust air vent and Switch on the mains.
5.1.14 Set the temperature in digital Temperature controller as per Master Formula Record & Switch on the heater & Blower.
5.2 Procedure for operation
5.2.1 Check for the cleanliness of tray drier and surrounding area.
5.2.2 Take line clearance from Q.A. Department as per respective SOP.
5.2.3 Affixed a “stage” label on machine
5.2.4 Load 2 to 3 kg material in each tray.
5.2.5 Place loaded trays in the Vacuum tray dryer and Close the door tightly
5.2.6 Rattle the material at specified intervals manually in each tray to facilitate drying.
5.2.7 After completion of drying, switch off the heater & Blower.
5.2.8 When the trays are cooled down up to the temperature at which it can be handled, unload each tray one by one in a clean drum lined with poly bag.
5.2.9 Close the container and affix an appropriate container label on it
5.2.10 Keep the trays back into the dryer, close the door and affix. TO BE “CLEANED” tag/label on it
