1.0 OBJECTIVE To lay down the procedure of Accident / Disaster Handling Procedure. 2.0 SCOPE This SOP is applicable for Accident / Disaster Handling Procedure in Quality Control Department. 3.0 RESPONSIBILITY Sr. Officer Executive/Sr. Executive and Stability In-charge: – is the responsible for carry and follow the SOP. 4.0 ACCOUNTABILITY Head-QC 5.0 Operation of Stability Chamber 5.1 Wear protective safety gloves, goggles, mask etc. while handling such items. 5.2 Keep flammable material (solvents) away from the flame/ heat. 5.3 In case where chances of fire, carry out the activity very carefully. 5.4 In case of any spillage of the chemical on the body use running tap water. 5.5 In case of eye exposure to any hazardous chemical, immediately rush to tap water and start purging the eyes with water. Hold the face in front of water and thoroughly wash the eyes. 5.6 In case of fire use fire extinguisher to extinguish fire. 5.7 In case of any injury, immediately contact trained person in the department for first-aid. Subsequently arrange for outside medical treatment, if required. 5.8 In all above instances, contact security as well as HR department to initiate necessary actions for firefighting and medical treatment. |
