Dies and Punches SOP : Procedure for cleaning and storage of dies and punches

1.0 OBJECTIVE:-

1.1 This sop for maintain the procedure for cleaning and storage of dies and punches.

2.0 SCOPE: –

2.1 To ensure error free operation of the machine in production area. This procedure is applicable for cleaning and storage of dies and punches.

3.0 RESPONSIBILITY:-

3.1 Execution: Operator
3.2 Production officer

4.0 ACCOUNTABILITY:

4.1 Production Head

5.0 Procedure

5.1 : Before setting on Machine.

5.1.1 Clean required Number of dies and punches with isopropyl alcohol
5.1.2 Check tip of Punches & hole of dies before setting.

5.2 After Removing from Machine.

5.2.1 Clean all Punches & Dies with Isopropyl alcohol to remove granule particles
5.2.2 Apply food grade oil (Oks-3700) on Punches head & Punches body & Dies to avoid rusting in production.
5.2.3 Apply food grade oil (Oks-3700) on tip of punches& Bore of dies.

5.3 Storage

5.3.1 Keep them in their respective space in Die-Punch cabinet
5.3.2 Make entries in Die-Punch utilization record accordingly as per Annex No.1&2 of this sop.

5.4 FREQUENCY : After completion of compression of a product and starting compression of different product.
