1.0 OBJECTIVE: 1.1 To lay down the procedure for cleaning and storage of dispensing tools. 2.0 SCOPE: 2.1 This procedure is applicable for the cleaning and storage of dispensing tools of Warehouse. 3.0 RESPONSIBILITY: 3.1 Assistant– Warehouse will be responsible for cleaning and storage of dispensing tools. 4.0 ABBREVIATIONS 4.1 SS : Stainless Steel To read this SOP click here SOP for Receipt and Storage Approval / Rejection Of Packing Material. 5.0 PROCEDURE: 5.1 After completion of dispensing operations, keep all the used dispensing tools in a fresh poly bag and affix the “TO BE CLEANED” as per format no. XXX label. 5.2 Transfer the used dispensing tools immediately after the dispensing operation to the washing area. 5.3 Rinse the dispensing tools with 0.1% Teepol solution (e.g. 10 gm Teepol in to 10 Ltr. of potable water) then after rinse with potable water. 5.4 Scrub the tool surface using sponge / nylon scrubber as applicable thoroughly to remove the adhered material. 5.5 Thoroughly flush the dispensing tools with potable water till the removal of any powder residues. 5.6 Rinse the dispensing tools for 2-3 times. 5.7 Ensure the tools are free from powder residues and visually clean. 5.8 Finally rinse the tools with purified water. 5.9 Dry the tools with lint free cloth. 5.10 Place all the dried tools into a clean poly bag. 5.11 Prepare the “Cleaned Label” and affix as per Annexure – XXX. 5.12 Place the tools in cleaned container. 5.13 Repeat all the above cleaning activities, if dispensing tools are kept unused for more than 1 day. 5.14 Record the cleaning operations in the cleaning record as per Annexure – XXX. |
