1.0 OBJECTIVE: 1.1 To lay down a procedure for Cleaning of transfer pump in the manufacturing area. 2.0 SCOPE: 2.1 This procedure is applicable for the Cleaning of transfer pump in the manufacturing area. 3.0 RESPONSIBILITY: 3.1 Trained Technician shall be responsible for cleaning of transfer pump as per the SOP. 3.2 Production Officer / Supervisor shall be responsible for implementation of the procedure as per this SOP. 3.3 Production Head shall be responsible for compliance of procedure as per SOP. To read this SOP click here SOP for Cleaning of In process Stainless Steel items Used In Production. 4.0 PROCEDURE: 4.1 Type A: For batch to batch changeover (of same product) 4.1.1 Mention the area under cleaning status on sign board outside the area.4.1.2 Switch ‘OFF’ the electric supply. 4.1.3 Clean the transfer pump with dry, clean lint free cloth. 4.1.4 Then rinse the external surface, lid, platform, bowl and other parts with Purified Water. 4.1.5 After visual inspection by the production supervisor/officer mention the cleaning status on the sign board outside the door and affix the ‘CLEANED’ label duly filled and signed on the equipment and machine as per the SOP titled “Procedure for Use of Labels in Manufacturing Department. 4.1.6 Record the cleaning details in Machine Log Book As per Format no. XXX. 4.2 Type – “B” During product change over. 4.2.1 Switch ‘OFF’ the main electrical supply of equipment. 4.2.2 Affix the status label as per XXX. 4.2.3 Disconnect the T.C. Clamp & pipe. 4.2.4 Take all disconnect pipe & clamp in poly bags and transfer it into washing area. 4.2.5 Clean the dismantle parts with 0.1% w/v Teepol solution (e.g. 10 gm of Teepol and 10 Ltr. Of potable hot water) with the help of sponge brush. 4.2.6 Wash the dismantle parts with purified water until remove the trace of foam. 4.2.7 Dry it with compressed air. 4.2.8 Keep dry and cleaned parts in clean trolley. Keep change part in respective area. 4.2.9 Assemble the dismantle parts with T.C clamp under supervision. Cover the open part of pipe with poly bag / Aluminum foil. 4.2.10 After receiving wash water analysis report for compliance, affix a ‘Cleaned’ label duly filled and signed as per SOP titled “Procedure for Use of Labels in Manufacturing Department. 4.2.11 Record the cleaning details in Machine Log Book as per the XXX. 4.3 Frequency: 4.3.1 Type A: During the batch to batch Change over (for same product) or after 24 hours. 4.3.2 Type B: During the product changeover or after completion of consecutive 5 batches of same product or after72 hours (if machine not in use). 5.0 ABBREVIATIONS 5.1 SOP : Standard Operating Procedure 5.2 IPQA : In process Quality Assurance 5.3 IPA : Isopropyl Alcohol |
