1.0 OBJECTIVE: 1.1 To lay down a Cleaning Procedure of Pipe Line. 2.0 SCOPE: 2.1 This procedure is applicable for the Cleaning procedure of material transfer pipe line. 3.0 RESPONSIBILITY: 3.1 Trained Technician shall be responsible for cleaning of the pipe line as per the procedure mentioned in this SOP. 3.2 Production Officer / Supervisor shall be responsible for implementation of the procedure as per this SOP. 3.3 Head, Production shall be responsible for compliance of procedure as per SOP(Cleaning Procedure of Pipe Line). 4.0 PROCEDURE: 4.1 Cleaning Procedure of Pipe Line 4.1.1 Type – A During the Batch to Batch change over (of Same product) 4.1.1.1 Maintain sign status board area under cleaning status outside the area. 4.1.1.2 Wipe the pipe line with the help of dry lint free cloth. 4.1.1.3 After visual inspection by the production supervisor/officer mention the status on the sign status board outside the door and affix the ‘CLEANED’ label duly filled and signed on the equipment and machine as per the SOP titled “Procedure for Use of Labels in Manufacturing Department. 4.1.1.4 Record the cleaning details in Machine Log Book As per Format no. XXX. To read this SOP click here SOP for Cleaning Procedure For Tanks 1000 Kg And 500 Kg. 4.1.2 Type – B at the time of product changeover 4.1.2.1 Maintain sign status board area under cleaning status outside the area. 4.1.2.2 First disconnect all pipe line by opening the clamp. Put into the washing area. 4.1.2.3 Circulate hot water into the all pipe line till all the traces are remove. 4.1.2.4 Wash the pipe line with 0.1% w/v Teepol solution (e.g. 10 gm of Teepol solution in to 10 Liters of potable hot water) with the help of Teflon scrubber. 4.1.2.5 Then clean pipe line with purified water until remove the trace of foam. 4.1.2.6 Dry the pipe line with the help of compressed air pressure. 4.1.2.7 Inform IPQA to collect the wash water sample through In-process Analytical Request / Report. 4.1.2.8 After visual inspection by the production supervisor/officer affix the ‘Cleaned’ label duly filled and signed as per the SOP titled “Procedure for Use of Labels in Manufacturing Department. 4.1.2.9 Record the cleaning details in Machine Log Book As per Format no. XXX. 4.1.3 Frequency: 4.1.3.1 Type A: During the batch to batch Change over (for same product) or after 24 hours. 4.1.3.2 Type B: During the product changeover or after completion of consecutive 5 batches of same product or after 72 hours (if machine not in use). 5.0 ABBREVIATIONS 5.1 SOP: Standard Operating Procedure 5.2 SS : Stainless Steel 5.3 IPQA: In process Quality Control 5.4 L : Litre |
