1.0 OBJECTIVE: 1.1 To lay down a procedure for Destruction of rejected tubes. 2.0 SCOPE: 2.1 This procedure is applicable for the Destruction of rejected tubes. 3.0 RESPONSIBILITY: 3.1 Trained Technician shall be responsible for destruction of rejected tube as per the procedure mentioned in this SOP. 3.2 Production Officer/Supervisor shall be responsible for implementation of the procedure as per this SOP. 3.3 Head, Production shall be responsible for compliance of procedure as per SOP. 4.0 PROCEDURE: 4.1 Destroy the empty Tubes if tubes are defected:- 4.1.1 Tubes with smudge printing of test matter. 4.1.2 Tubes found damage. 4.1.3 Tubes with color variation. 4.1.4 Tube Orientation 4.1.5 Tubes found dirty and with any adherent, sticky material which can not be removed. No. and Date. 4.3 Count the defected empty tubes at the end of the tube checking of the batch and record the quantity of defective empty tubes in the batch packing record. 4.4 Destroy all defective empty tubes by cutting each into several pieces, so that identity of the product is lost and transfer to solid waste disposal area. 4.5 Make reconciliation record of empty tubes, Good tubes, filled tubes, defective tubes and balance tubes in BPR. 5.0 ABBREVIATIONS 5.1 SOP : Standard Operating Procedure 5.2 BPR : Batch Packing Record 5.3 B.
