1.0 OBJECTIVE: 1.1 To lay down the procedure for medical assistance to any injured or sick employee first aid. 2.0 SCOPE: 2.1 This procedure is applicable for the all categories of employees first aid. 3.0 RESPONSIBILITY: 3.1 Human Resources Officer/Executive. 4.0 ABBREVIATIONS 4.1 SOP : Standard Operating Procedure 4.2 QC : Quality Control 4.3 P & A : Personnel & Administration. 4.4 HR & ADM : Human Resources & Administration To read this SOP click here SOP for Entry And Exit Of Staff And Visitors. 5.0 PROCEDURE: 5.1 First Aid boxes consisting of the following items shall be kept in P&A Department, Quality Control Department, Production Department, Security Gate and Rest Room for easy accessibility of first aid box to employees in case such a need arises. 5.1.1 Analgesic Tablets 5.1.2 Antispasmodic Tablets 5.1.3 Antipyretic Tablets 5.1.4 Ointment for minor burns, cuts, wounds etc. 5.1.5 Tincture of Iodine 5.1.6 Scissors 5.1.7 Gentian violet 5.1.8 Clinical Thermometer etc. 5.2 It shall be ensured by the respective departments that the shelf life and quantity of the medicines are appropriately maintained. 5.3 Sufficient number of employees shall be trained in First Aid from different departments who shall be qualified to render firsts aid assistance. 5.4 Firsts Aid assistance shall be provided by the trained employees to the sick or injured employees immediately.
