1.0 OBJECTIVE To lay down a procedure for Housekeeping in quality control laboratory cleaning of floor, platform and working table of keep them tidy clean and safe as per good laboratory practices. 2.0 SCOPE This SOP is applicable for cleaning of floor, platform and working table of keep them tidy clean and safe as per good laboratory Housekeeping in quality control laboratory practices in Quality Control Department. 3.0 RESPONSIBILITY QC – Officers/Executive/Senior Executive/Asst. Manager 4.0 ACCOUNTABILITY Head-QC 5.0 PROCEDURE 5.1 Floor cleaning: 5.1.1 Sweep the floor with the help of broom. 5.1.2 Mop with phenyl/ Dettol solution (125 ml Savlon/ Dettol in 5 liter of water) using clean cloth. 5.1.3 Frequency: Twice a day, beginning and at the end of working hours. 5.2 Cleaning of platform and working table: 5.2.1 Wet mop the platform and working table using clean cloth. 5.2.2 Dry the platform and working table with clean dry cloth. 5.2.3 Clean the racks and reagent bottles on every weekend. 5.2.4 Frequency: Twice a day at the beginning and end of the working hours. 5.2.5 All the cleaning activities will be recorded in the cleaning record. |
