SOP for Online and Offline Packing |
1.0 OBJECTIVE: 1.1 To lay down the Procedure for Online and Offline Packing. 2.0 SCOPE: 2.1 This procedure is applicable for Online and Offline Packing. 3.0 RESPONSIBILITY: 3.1 Production officer is responsible for Online & Offline Packing as per the procedure mentioned in this SOP(Online and Offline Packing). 3.2 Production Head and his deputy are responsible for implementation of the procedure as per this SOP. 3.3 Head QA is responsible for compliance of procedure as per this SOP(Online and Offline Packing). 4.0 PROCEDURE:(Online and Offline Packing) 4.1 Ensure line clearance of the area where product to be pack. 4.2 Ensure dispensing of correct material. 4.3 Ensure the correctness of bulk material 4.4 Based on the packing material style, packing will be done either Online and Offline Packing. 4.5 Online Packing 4.5.1 Connect bulk tank to the filling machine hopper. 4.5.2 Operator will set machine as per pack size. 4.5.3 Do in process checks as per BPR. 4.5.4 Checker will inspect the tubes for any type of physical defect & coding defect. 4.5.5 Reject the defected tubes from line & collect into a separate container for destruction. 4.5.6 Arrange inspection of pre-coded cartons. 4.5.7 Packer will form the carton and insert the tube/bottle into the carton. 4.5.8 Packer will close the carton and put on the conveyer belt. 4.5.9 Next packer will put the packed units into the shrink wrap or outer cartons or inner shipper. 4.5.10 Packer will also close the outer carton with specific quantity as per BPR. 4.5.11 Or packer will also pass the shrink wrap from the shrink wrapping machine with specific quantity as per BPR. To read this sop click here SOP for Operating And Cleaning Procedure For Conveyor Belt. 4.5.12 Or packer will also put the specific quantity into the inner shipper as per BPR and will closed both end by BOPP tap. 4.5.13 Another packer will ensure the quantity of the packed unit by weighing. If weight of any unit found out of the limit as specified in the BPR, he will separate the unit for correction. 4.5.14 Same packer will open the pack & ensure individual quantity physically & repack the corrected quantity as per step 4.5.12 & 4.5.13. 4.5.15 Final packer will put outer carton/shrink wrap/inner shipper specific quantity as per BPR into the shipper. 4.5.16 Same final packer will ensure the quantity of the packed group unit by weighing. If weight of any group unit found out of the limit as specified in the BPR. He will separate shipper for correction. 4.5.17 Some packer will open the shipper & ensure the quantity of group pack physically & repack the corrected quantity as per step no. 4.5.15 & 4.5.16. 4.5.18 Line supervisor will set the printer of final weighing balance for product Name, B. No., Mfg., Exp., MRP, Company Name, Country Name, Shipper No., Packed by Name, etc. as per BPR requirement and lock the password from system, so that no one can change the detail without permission. 4.5.19 Final packer will give the command of label printing and paste the label on the final shipper with complete details. 4.5.20 Final packer will also mention the final weight of shipper weighing sheet of BPR. 4.6 Offline packing 4.6.1 Connect bulk tank to the filling machine hopper. 4.6.2 Operator will set machine as per pack size. 4.6.3 Do in process checks as per BPR. 4.6.4 Checker will inspect the tubes for any type of physical defect & coding defect. 4.6.5 Reject the defected tubes from line & collect into a separate container for destruction. 4.6.6 Collect the tube in to the crate for offline packing because packing is not directly connected with carton or pack. 4.6.7 Paste the label onto the collected crate with product name, batch No. to avoid any mix-up. 4.6.8 Offline packing will be done for offer pack, dangle pack, blister pack, jar pack etc. 4.6.9 Offer Pack –(Online and Offline Packing) Arrange inspection of pre-coded cartons. Packer will form the carton and insert the tube into the carton. Packer will close the carton and put on the conveyer belt. Next packer will put two carton & band the carton for offer pack. Packer will also put the specific quantity into the shipper as per BPR and will closed both end by BOPP tap. Line supervisor will set the printer of final weighing balance for product Name, B. No., Mfg., Exp., MRP, Company Name, Country Name, Shipper No., Packed by Name, etc. as per BPR requirement and lock the password from system, so that no one can change the detail without permission. 4.6.10 Dangler/Blister pack – Collect & inspect of pre-coded blister card or dangler Collect the pre-formed blister & filled tubes for packing. Separate pre formed blister. Put the tube in the blister as per BPR. Arrange to keep the filled blister & blister card on the sealing heater. Check the temperature of hot sealing press and record the temperature in the BPR. Press the Hydraulic press with specific temperature for sealing the Dangler/Blister pack. Packer will also check & put the specific quantity of blister card into the shipper as per BPR and will closed both end by BOPP tap. 4.6.11 Jar pack – Collect & inspect the pre-coded label & jar for any type of damage. Arrange to paste the label on Jar & Lid as per BPR. Count the offline collected tube of the same batch & put the specific quantity in the jar as per BPR. Start Heating of Aluminium tagger sealing machine. Arrange to seal the jar with aluminium tagger. 4.7 After completion of batch send In Process Analytical Request for clearance. 4.8 Punch the packed quantity in SAP/ERP system. |
