1.0 OBJECTIVE: 1.1 To lay down a procedure for Operation of DG Set. 2.0 SCOPE: 2.1 This procedure is applicable for the Operating Procedure for DG Set. 3.0 RESPONSIBILITY: 3.1 The concerned technician shall be carrying out the Standard Operating Procedure. 3.2 The Officer Engineering shall be responsible for implementation of Standard Operating Procedure. 3.3 Head of Engineering Department shall ensure the compliance of Standard Operating Procedure. 4.0 ABBREVIATIONS 4.1 SOP : Standard Operating Procedure 4.2 QA : Quality Assurance 4.3 CC NO : Change Control Number 4.4 DT : Diesel Tank 4.5 DG : Diesel Generator. 4.6 ACB : Air Circuit Breaker To Read this SOP click here SOP for Regeneration For Softener. 5.0 PROCEDURE: 5.1 PRE START UP: 5.1.1 Physically check that the engine, alternator, control panel, and power panel are in proper order for start up. 5.1.2 Check that heat exchanger coolant water level and lubricant oil level is normal. 5.1.3 Check diesel day tank level. It should be more than 200 liters. 5.1.4 Check the Diesel Tank outlet valve, it should be open. 5.1.5 Check the battery & self condition should be ok. 5.2 OPERATION 5.2.1 Manual 5.2.1.1 Select the panel switch on manual mod 5.2.1.2 Start the DG by pressing PLC start button 5.2.1.3 Check that the DG main panel voltage between 410 to 415 volts. 5.2.1.4 Ensure that Transformer incomer ACB should be off. After that on DG ACB incomer on main panel & charged the respective switch on D.G. incomer. 5.2.1.5 Enter the data in the Log Sheet 5.2.2 Auto 5.2.2.1 Select the switch on auto mod and select the master dg switch 5.2.2.2 Plc automatically starts the DG and change over the breaker. When power comes the plc changes over the switch on power supply. 5.2.2.3 As per set delay time the AMF PLC stop the DG automatically. |
