1.0 OBJECTIVE: 1.1To lay down the procedure for Operation of Manufacturing, Water and wax Vessels of 5000 Kg, 3500 kg and 2500Kg. 2.0SCOPE: 2.1This procedure is applicable for formulation plant Operation Procedure For Tanks 5000 Kg, 3500kg And 2500kg. 3.0RESPONSIBILITY: 3.1Trained Operators are responsible for operating the machine as per the procedure mentioned in this SOP. 3.2Production Officer / Supervisor are responsible for implementation of the procedure as per this SOP. 3.3Production Head is responsible for compliance of procedure as per this SOP. 4.0 PROCEDURE: 4 .1 Operating Procedure For Manufacturing vessel: 4.1.1Before starting of operation, ensure that cleaning of area and equipment/machine with ‘CLEANED’ label duly filled and signed by production department. 4.1.2Inform IPQA for the verification of cleaning of area and equipment/machine. After clearance by IPQA person, remove the cleaned label and attach in BMR. Also mention the status of the area on sign board outside the door. 4.1.3 Switch “ON” the power supply of the mains panel. 4.1.4Check direction of rotation of Anchor, it should rotate in clock wise direction and its axis looking from the top. 4.1.5Check Manufacturing vessel connected with steam, cooling and product outlet valve closed. 4.1.6Set the cut off temperature in the temperature indicator cum controller on control panel. 4.1.7 Select activity of steam inlet/cooling inlet by selector switch HEAT and COOL. 4.1.8Enter homogenization time in HSE timer. For Start Homogenizer puss the key HSE ON. For stop homogenizer puss the key HSE off. For product circulation through HSE open HSE valve. 4.1.9Before supply of steam in manufacturing vessel drain water from jacket by selecting key JV. Put on steam by switch selecting key HEAT. 4.1.10 Put on cooling in manufacturing vessel by switch selecting key COOL. 4.1.11For transfer of bulk open outlet valve of manufacturing vessel then start transfer pump on puss the key TP PUMP ON for stop puss the key TP PUMP OFF. 4.1.12For vacuum inlet check all valves are completely closed then choose the key P1 or P2 and puss key VACUUM ON .for stop puss VACUUM OFF. 4.1.13For lifting of power pack operation select switch CLAMP OFF mode then puss the key UP. For down puss the key DOWN. 4.1.14In case of emergency puss EMERGENCY STOP. 4.1.15Start the Anchor on low speed initially & slowly increase the speed as desire. 4.1.16After completion of process, press off to stop the anchor. 4.1.17Empty the manufacturing vessel by transferring the bulk into quarantine tank by bulk transfer pump. 4.1.18Switch “OFF” the mains. After line clearance by IPQA person, remove the cleaned label and attach in BMR. Also mention the status of the area on sign board outside the door 4.2.3 Switch “ON” the power supply of the mains panel. 4.2.4Check direction of rotation of Stirrer, it should rotate in clock wise .by puss the key WAX ON for stop puss key WAX OFF. 4.2.5Check Wax phase vessel connected with steam, and product outlet valve closed. 4.2.6Set the cut off temperature in the temperature indicator cum controller on control panel. 4.2.7Before supply of steam in wax vessel drain water from jacket by selecting key JV. Put on steam by switch selecting key on HEAT. 4.2.8For transfer of wax phase open outlet valve of wax vessel then transfer it in manufacturing vessel. 4.2.9For vacuum inlet check all valves are completely closed then choose the key P1 or P2 for start puss VACUUM ON .for stop puss VACUUM OFF. 4.2.10Switch “OFF” the mains power supply. 4.3 Operating Procedure For Water Phase Vessels: 4.3.1Before starting of operation, ensure that the cleaning of area and equipment/machine with ‘CLEANED’ label duly filled and signed by production department. 4.3.2Inform IPQA for the verification of cleaning of area and equipment/machine. After line clearance by IPQA person, remove the cleaned label and attach in BMR. Also mention the status of the area on sign board outside the door. 4.3.3Switch “ON” the power supply of the mains panel. 4.3.4Check direction of rotation of Stirrer, it should rotate in clock wise .for start puss WATER ON for stop puss WATER OFF. 4.3.5Check Water phase vessel connected with steam, and product outlet valve closed. 4.3.6Set the cut off temperature in the temperature indicator cum controller on control panel. 4.3.7Before supply of steam in water vessel drain water from jacket by selecting key JV. Put on steam by switch selecting key on HEAT. 4.3.8For transfer of water phase open outlet valve of wax vessel then transfer it in manufacturing vessel. 4.3.9For vacuum inlet check all valves are completely closed then choose the key P1 or P2 for start puss VACUUM ON .for stop puss VACUUM OFF. 4.3.10Switch “OFF” the mains power supply. Note: After taking the desired quantity of purified water as required for the manufacturing process, open the TC clamp of the SS pipeline connecting the purified water distribution loop to the manufacturing/water phase tanks and drain the water from the pipeline. During product changeover, serial cleaning dismantle the SS pipeline and clean in the ancillary tools washing area. 5.0ABBREVIATIONS 5.1Kg : Kilogram 5.2SOP : Standard Operating Procedure 5.3IPQA : In – Process Quality Assurance 5.4BMR : Batch Manufacturing Record 5.5QA : Quality Assurance 5.6Mfg. : Manufacturing 5.7HSE. : High Shearing Emulsifier 5.8TP : Transfer Pump 5.9JV : Jacket Vent |
