1.0 OBJECTIVE:-
1.1 To maintain the procedure to prepare cleaning multi mill.
2.0 SCOPE: –
2.1 To prevent cross contamination between different products. To ensure error free operation of the machine. This procedure is applicable for cleaning of multi mill.

5.1 Cleaning Procedure:
5.1.1 DISMANTLING
5.1.2 Switch “OFF” the mains and remove the plug.
5.1.3 Remove charging hopper from its position and remove feed control plate.
5.1.4 Unscrew the clamps and remove the S.S. chamber (fitted surrounding the Screening).
5.1.5 Loosen both bolts of sieve supporting plate and remove the sieve.
5.1.6 Loosen the bolt at the bottom of blade shaft using an appropriate spanner and remove the blade assembly.
5.1.8 Take all the dismantled part to the washing area and wash it under running tape water.
5.1.9 Use nylon brush whenever required
5.1.10 Clean all the parts using 0.2%. Tiepolo /Detergent solution and wash it again under running tape water.
5.1.11 Clean all the parts using DM water, allow drying and reassembling them in reverse order of dismantling.
5.1.12 Clean the fixed parts of milling chamber with tape water and finally rinse with D.M. water
5.1.13 Wipe cleaned the fixed parts of machine (outside) using a lint free clothes and surrounding areas as per respective SOP.
5.1.14 Affixed a “CLEANED” tag/Label on the machine and make entry in the equipment. Cleaning Record (Annexure-1 of this SOP).
5.1.15 Precaution: Any electrical part of the machine should not come in contact with water.
5.1.16 Frequency: Product to product changing over & batch to batch cleaning.
5.2 Procedure for operation
5.2.1 Check for the cleanliness of the machine and surrounding area of it
5.2.2 Take out sieve specified in the batch manufacturing record of respective product of multi mill from storage cabinet and assemble it proper..
5.2.3 Keep a clean plastic or SS container lined with single poly bag below the discharging chute.
5.2.4 Take line clearance from Q.A. Dept. as per respective SOP
5.2.5 Affixed a stage label on the machine in production area.
5.2.6 Switch “ON” the machine and set the direction of rotation and speed in production.
5.2.7 Set the material flow using feed controlling sliding SS plate at the bottom of hopper.
5.2.8 Maintain the constant rate of feeding.
5.2.9 On completion of milling switch OFF the power supply to the machine
5.2.10 Dismantle chamber, blade; sieve and remove the remaining mass adhered on blade sieve and chamber surface.
5.2.11 Affix “TO BE CLEANED” tag on the machine.
