Transfer it to a cleaned and dried 500.0 ml volumetric flask and add 300.0 ml of water with gentle stirring. Make up the volume 500.0 ml with water. Mix solution thoroughly (Solution-A) Take 20.0ml of solution-A add 10 ml of water, 15.0 ml chloroform, 10.0 ml dilute sulphuric acid and add 1 ml dimethyl yellow-orcet Blue-B- solution as indicator. Titrate with Benzethonium chloride solution. 7.0 Calculation: W (in gm) X 20 N=——————————– Volume cons. X 0.28838 X 500 Were: N = molarity of 0.004 M C27H42ClNOH2 W = weight of C27H42ClNOH2 in gm.
