1.0 PURPOSE: To lay down the procedure for Entry and Exit procedure in Microbiology department. 2.0 SCOPE: This procedure is applicable for Entry and Exit procedure in microbiology department. 3.0 RESPONSIBILITY: Microbiologist. 4.0 ACCOUNTABILITY: Quality Control Head. To read this SOP Click here SOP for Environment Monitoring In Microbiology Lab. 5.0 PROCEDURE: 5.1. Entry procedure: 5.1.1. Enter into change room of microbiology section. 5.1.2. Remove the street footwear in provided shoe rack. Then take factory shoe and wear. 5.1.3. Sanitize your hands with 70 % Isopropyl Alcohol from the dispenser. 5.1.4. Wear cleaned apron to ensure that no body parts are exposed. Wear protective disposable gloves to enter microbiology department. 5.1.5. Push door by elbow and enter into Microbiology section. 5.2. Exit procedure: 5.2.1. Enter into change room of microbiology department. 5.2.2. Put off the apron & keep in bin marked as microbiology section. 5.2.3. Put off the footwear and hand gloves, discard in separate container. and wear shoes to enter in microbiology area. 5.2.4. Exit from microbiology section. 5.3. Precaution: 5.3.1. Person entering to microbiology section should not wear jewelry, nail polish or any types of cosmetics are strictly prohibited in microbiology area. 5.3.2. Movement in the clean room should be slow and rhythmic. 5.3.3. Do not allow a person to enter in the Microbiology Section, who is suffering from any type of disease. Perform all aseptic operations under Laminar Air Flow. |
