1.0 OBJECTIVE: 1.1 To lay down the procedure for Operating and Cleaning Procedure for Ink Jet Printing Machine. 2.0 SCOPE: 2.1 This procedure is applicable for the Operating and Cleaning Procedure for Ink Jet Printing Machine. 3.0 RESPONSIBILITY: 3.1 Trained Technician / Operator are responsible for operating and cleaning of the machine as per the procedure mentioned in this SOP. 3.2 Production Officer/ Supervisor are responsible for implementation of the procedure as per this SOP. 3.3 Production Head is responsible for compliance of procedure as per this SOP. 4.0 PROCEDURE: 4.1 Description • Make : Company name • Model : XXX • Type : Ink Jet Printing machine 4.2 Operating Procedure 4.2.1 Ensure the sufficient quantity of additive and ink should be in machine. 4.2.2 Ensure proper cleaning of jet before start the ink jet printer. 4.2.3 Ensure that there should be not leakage of Additive or Ink. Machine run 15 minutes. 4.2.4 Ensure that there is no alarm on the screen. 4.2.5 Ensure that password access limited to officer and above level. To read this SOP click here SOP for Cleaning Procedure For Tanks 1000 Kg And 500 Kg. 4.3 Setting of Ink jet printing machine 4.3.1 Remove all packaging materials of previous product. 4.3.2 Ensure proper cleaning of equipment & area and take line clearance from IPQA. 4.3.3 Transfer the packing material to be printed on the packing line. 4.3.4 Set the printing head at 90°C to packing belt, if required can be set as per the window given on the carton. 4.3.5 Adjust the gap of printing head according to the size of printing matter. 4.3.6 Take cartons to adjust the head sense, object speed, Forward margin and return margin, font size, to put Batch No. Manufacturing Date and Expiry Date as per BPR and Price as per the BPR & Price List. 4.3.7 Switch ‘ON’ the main supply of the machine and display will shown. 4.3.8 Press F2 or F3 key as per requirement of no of lines of message & put security code. 4.3.9 Press “Enter key” 4.3.10 Press “Esc” key, press font from the various options, and set the font as per product requirement. 4.3.11 Press “Esc” key and press “open” for selecting and editing any existing message or press “new” for creating new message. 4.3.12 Use alphabetic and numeric keys for creation and edition of message. 4.3.13 Press “Esc” key and press “save” to save the editing changes in existing message and press “save as” to new message. 4.3.14 Also, enter the message name by using alphabet and numeric keys. 4.3.15 Press On/Off switch to on the printer. 4.3.16 Wait for same time until screen shows printer is in on mode. 4.3.17 Press “Esc” key and press “Load printer” to load the message. 4.3.18 Press “Esc” key and then press “close” 4.3.19 Press F4 key. 4.3.20 Put security code & press enter key. 4.3.21 Set the head sense, object speed, return margin and forward margin as per product requirement by using “Tab” key. 4.3.22 Now printer is ready to print, it shall print as soon as it shall sense the sensing point. 4.3.23 Officer/Executive packing shall take proof on carton and take the approval from IPQA. 4.3.24 Attach the approved specimen with Batch Packing Record (BPR) of respective product. 4.3.25 After approval start the printing activity until the batch completion. 4.3.26 For shutdown of ink Jet printer, press On/Off switch. 4.3.27 Display shall show ‘do you want to stop the printer’ 4.3.28 Press Enter on the Yes obtion to stop the printer & wait for few minutes. 4.3.29 Then switch off the machine. 4.3.30 Record the detail of machine operation in the Machine Log Book- As per Format no. XXX. 4.4 CLEANING PROCEDURE 4.4.1 Switch off the power supply of the machine. 4.4.2 Affix ‘TO BE CLEAN’ status label on the machine. 4.4.3 Clean the main body, operating panel and electric cable with dry lint free cloth. 4.4.4 Clean the ink jet printer head with wash solution & ink jet printer head dry with round suction pump 4.4.5 Affix ‘CLEANED’ status label on the machine. 5.0 ABBREVIATIONS 5.1 SOP : Standard Operating Procedure 5.2 IPQA : In-Process Quality Assurance 5.3 BPR : Batch Packing Record 5.4 CC NO. : Change control number |
