1.0 OBJECTIVE:
1.1 To pack strips/blister as specified in the Batch Packing Record. To conduct packing operation error free.
2.0 SCOPE: –
2.1 This procedure is applicable for cartooning and shipper packing of strips/blisters when it is not possible to pack online on conveyer belt.
3.0 RESPONSIBILITY:
3.1 Execution: Packing Supervisor
3.2 Production officer.
3.3 IPQA officer
4.0 ACCOUNTABILITY:
4.1 Head of Department.
5.0 Procedure:
5.1.1 Take line clearance from Q.A. Dept. as per Respective SOP
5.1.2 Affix a stage label at specified space.
5.1.3 Arrange manpower as per packing-type chart and start the conveyer belt.
5.1.4 Check all the strips for broken tablets, empty pocket, any kind of rejected tablets, dirty coding, cutting and sealing quality etc.
5.1.5 Count it as per batch packing profile given in the Batch Packing Record (BPR) of the product
5.1.6 Check the quality of empty carton (for coding quality, printing matter and physical condition of carton) and put the strips/blisters into it
5.1.7 Close the carton and arrange them in to the inner shipper (whereas applicable) and then in outer Corrugated box and seal it using printed BOPP gum tape.
5.1.8 Record the data as per the requirement in log record.
5.1.9 Affix a shipper label on each corrugated box and arrange them on a pellet.
