1.0 OBJECTIVE: 1.1 To lay down the procedure for handling and disposal of waste generated during dispensing. 2.0 SCOPE: 2.1 This procedure is applicable for handling and disposal of waste generated during dispensing of raw materials in warehouse. 3.0 RESPONSIBILITY: 3.1 Assistant – Warehouse will be responsible for handling and disposal of waste generated during dispensing. 4.0 ABBREVIATIONS 4.1 SS : Stainless Steel. 5.0 PROCEDURE: 5.1 Following type of waste material is generated during the dispensing. 5.1.1 Used Gloves 5.1.2 Defaced Labels 5.1.3 Used Poly bags 5.1.4 Used Cable ties 5.1.5 Used Empty Drums 5.1.6 Spilled over Powder To read this SOP click here SOP for Cleaning And Storage Of Dispensing Tools. 5.2 After completion of dispensing activities, dispose the used material into SS bin and transfer the waste material to washing room for destroyed. 5.3 Collect above listed waste everyday at the end of the day from respective deposition points. 5.4 Deface all the labels pasted on the drum / containers by using the marker pen. 5.5 Cut all the used poly bags with SS scissors then put into waste bin. 5.6 In case of any spilled over powder, material put in a bucket containing the purified water and send to washing area. 5.7 The submerged waste like cut poly bags, gloves put into a fresh poly bag and tie properly and send to scrap yard through housekeeping department. 5.8 Ensure that the drums / containers do not have any material. Tear all the status labels, masks and other waste paper material and send to scrap yard for further disposal. |
