1.0 OBJECTIVE: 1.1 To lay down the procedure for the medical fitness of the employees before joining the services of the Company and thereafter. 1.2 To develop and nurture a healthy workforce for achieving higher productivity with better quality. 1.3 To create greater awareness among employees towards their physical, mental and spiritual health i.e. wholesome development. 2.0 SCOPE: 2.1 This procedure is applicable for the all categories of Employees posted. 3.0 RESPONSIBILITY: 3.1 Executive – HR and all HODs 4.0 ABBREVIATIONS 4.1 SOP : Standard Operating Procedure 4.2 QC : Quality Control 4.3 ESI Scheme : The health insurance scheme administered by a corporation constituted under the provisions of Employees State Insurance Act, 1948. To read this SOP click here SOP for Entry And Exit Of Staff And Visitors. 5.0 PROCEDURE: 5.1 All employees who are directly or indirectly associated with manufacturing process are subject to medical examination before being employed and thereafter at least once in a year by Doctor(s) on the panel of the Company. 5.2 Any authorized Hospital for the purpose of medical examination. 5.3 All new employees should arrange medical certificate of fitness by authorized Hospital before joining the service, Company will organize medical fitness for the employee. The proformas of medical examination of Executive/Staff and Worker cadres of the Company are separate and exhibited hereinafter. Duly Certified Medical Fitness Certificate along with relevant test reports, if any, are forwarded to the Company for records. 5.4 On being found medically fit, the new joinee employees are allowed to join the services of the Company and their continuity in the service of the Company is subject to being declared medically fit in the subsequent medical examinations. 5.5 In annual medical examination, a list containing names of employees for medical checkup is prepared and put upto Factory Manager for approval. Thereupon, suitable date, time and venue of medical examination are fixed with the panel of doctors for medical investigation. To Read this SOP click here SOP for Issuance Of Raw Materials. 5.6 Every employee has to fill-in his or her own handwriting a “Self Declaration Form” before medical examination giving the personal details and previous medical history. After completion of medical examination, the following authenticated reports on the prescribed formats are provided to the Company viz:- 5.6.1 Medical Check-up Report 5.6.2 Fitness Certificate 5.7 If any employee is required to undergo further medical examination, then it is done at the Any Authorized Hospital and all relevant reports are forwarded to the Company specifying result/s of such tests. However, all such employees who are covered under ESI scheme shall be referred to ESI Hospital for medical examination/treatment. 5.8 In case of illness, the employee(s) reporting for duties shall not be allowed to join or continue with his/her duties and will proceed on “leave” immediately & leave factory premises and shall be marked accordingly in the Attendance Register. In case of serious illness/injury, the employee concerned will be taken to the Doctor(s) on the panel of the Company or nearest hospital, as the case may be. 5.9 All records of medical examination (pre-employment/annual) shall be entered in Health Register. |
