1.0 OBJECTIVE:
1.1 To maintain the equipment tidy and cleaning of RMG.
2.0 SCOPE:
To prevent cross contamination between different products. To ensure error free operation of the machine. This procedure is applicable for cleaning of RMG.

5.0 Procedure
5.1 Procedure for cleaning
5.1.1 Remove “TO BE CLEAN” tag from equipment of RMG.
5.1.2 Turn “OFF” the electric supply & remove the main plug of RMG.
5.1.3 Put an empty plastic container below the discharge unit
5.1.4 Switch “ON” the mains and give air supply.
5.1.5 Pour about 40 lit of tap water in bowl, close the lid tightly and rotate the blade and chopper for 5minutes at slow speed & remove any material adhering to the blades & machine.
5.1.6 Discharge the water and drain it in the washing area.
5.1.7 Switch “OFF” the machine & remove plug. Open the lid and removed dome and agitator blades by loosening the locking nut in area.
5.1.8 Take the blade and dome to the washing area for cleaning purpose.
5.1.9 Wash the bowl and lid with 20ltr tap water and then rinse with 10ltr DM water and allow it to dry
5.1.10 Clean the discharge chute with tap water.
5.1.11 Rinse it finally with 5 Liters of DM water and allow to dry.
5.1.12 In case of Product change send the wash water to QC for wash water analysis.
5.1.13 Cut off the air supply
5.1.14 Reassemble the cleaning agitator blade and dome exactly at its original position in the bowl and close the lid in production area.
5.1.15 Dry clean the surrounding portion and panel of machine using a lint free clean cloth
5.1.16 Clean surrounding area of the machine as per respective SOP.
5.1.17 Record the details in equipment cleaning record as per Annex.1 of this SOP.
5.1.18 Affix a “CLEANED” tag on the machine.
5.1.19 Precaution: Protect electrical parts from water contact.
5.2 Procedure for operation
5.2.1 Assembling
Open the lid of RMG and Place the cleaned Impeller on its base shaft and tighten the Bolt and then fix the Impeller dome on its base by rotating it clockwise.
5.2.2 Ensure the assembling of Impeller by rotating manually.
5.2.3 Similarly place the cleaned chopper on its base shaft & tighten bolt
5.2.4 Operation
5.2.5 Take line clearance from Q.A. Department as per respective SOP
5.2.6 Affix a “STAGE LABEL” on the machine bowl
5.2.7 Ensure that the discharge valve is in close position.
5.2.8 Load the materials into the bowl as per the sequence specified in the Batch Manufacturing Record of respective product
5.2.9 Close the lid and tighten the locking clamps
5.2.10 Put the main switch “ON” and open the compressed air supply valve.
5.2.11 Mix and bind the materials at a speed of chopper motor and impeller & for time specified in the Batch processing Record of the product being mixed or binder
5.2.12 Discharge the binder wet mass into the FBD bowl kept under discharge port by lifting discharge knob to upward position
5.2.13 Stop the impeller and chopper, open the lid and remove the remaining mass adhered on blade and bowl surface.
5.2.14 Affixed “TO BE CLEANED” tag on the machine in production Area.
