1.0 OBJECTIVE: 1.1 To describe the procedure to be followed for maintaining personnel hygiene in the plant. 2.0 SCOPE: 2.1 This procedure shall be applicable to all employees or contract workman working Personnel Hygiene. 3.0 RESPONSIBILITY: 3.1 HR Executive shall be responsible for: 3.1.1 Imparting training on hygiene to all new employees of the company. 3.1.2 Monitoring of hygiene of employees. 3.2 Department Officers/Executives and Department Head shall be responsible for: 3.2.1 Ensuring that all employees and workman are maintaining good hygienic behaviour in the plant. 3.2.2 Informing Personnel and Administration Department of any abnormalities observed in hygienic behaviour of any employee. 3.3 The Head QA shall be responsible for: 3.3.1 Ensuring that each employee and contract workman is imparted training on hygiene. 4.0 ABBREVIATIONS 4.1 Nil To read this SOP click here SOP for Cleaning of Factory Uniform And Shoes. 5.0 PROCEDURE: 5.1 Personnel Hygiene: 5.1.1 Personnel cleanliness 5.1.1.1 Maintaining good personnel hygiene is very much essential in pharmaceutical industry, hence each employee on joining the organization shall be briefed about importance of personnel hygiene as laid down in this SOP. 5.1.1.2 All employees keep their hands clean and wash with soap soon after visiting toilets or urinals. 5.1.1.3 All employees shall cut their nails and take regular bath. 5.1.1.4 All employees shall keep hair clean and cover with cap. 5.1.1.5 Employees shall cover his beard with mask. 5.1.1.6 Employees shall place their personal belongings like, jewelry, wrist watch, in the lockers provided. 5.1.1.7 Employees shall place their personal medicine, if any, at the security gate. 5.1.1.8 Every employee shall wear neat & clean dress. To read this SOP click here SOP for Entry And Exit Of Staff And Visitors. 5.1.2 Hygiene requirements 5.1.2.1 All employees shall be prohibited from smoking, chewing tobacco, alcoholism’s and Pan eating inside the factory premises. 5.1.2.2 All employees shall surrender items like match boxes, lighter, tobacco etc. to security before entering factory premises. 5.1.2.3 Eatables and drinks are not allowed in areas other than canteen and administration block. 5.1.2.4 Spitting shall be prohibited in the factory premises. 5.1.2.5 Employee shall throw all waste in the waste bins only. 5.1.2.6 All employees shall keep lockers neat, clean and in tidy conditions. They shall not keep any eatables inside lockers or pockets of clothes. 5.1.2.7 Every employee shall extend his full support to security and Human Resource department for inspecting the lockers whenever required. 5.1.2.8 All employees shall make best and appropriate use of toilets and change room facilities in order to maintain highest level of clean environment and satisfaction of management. 5.1.2.9 All employees shall always follow the general /safety instruction written and or displayed in the manufacturing premises. 5.1.2.10 Employees shall not rub their hands, gloves with walls, rolling equipments etc. while walking. 5.1.2.11 All employees shall use personal protective equipment such as apron, nose mask, head cover, shoe cover etc. whenever required. 5.1.2.12 Employees shall not wear company uniform outside the specified premises. |
