1.0 OBJECTIVE: 1.1 To lay down the procedure for handling and disposal of expire finished goods. 2.0 SCOPE: 2.1 This procedure is applicable for the handling and disposal of expired finished goods. 3.0 RESPONSIBILITY: 3.1 Assistant – Warehouse shall be responsible for handling the disposal of expired goods. 3.2 Officer-Warehouse shall be responsible for compliance the activity of disposal of expired goods. 4.0 ABBREVIATIONS 4.1 SOP : Standard Operating Procedure 4.2 PPIC : Production Planning and Inventory Control. To Read this SOP click here SOP for Handling Of Retest Materials. 5.0 PROCEDURE: 5.1 Expired goods shall be isolated and segregated from the remaining stocks. 5.2 Intimation of such finished goods shall be given to PPIC department in one month in advance. 5.3 On receipt of the approved write off note copy from Production Planning and Inventory control department, fill the destruction format and send for the approval of Quality Assurance. 5.4 Ensure the disposal action is completed within one month from the date of receipt of Write-off note from Production Planning and Inventory control department.
