1.0 OBJECTIVE: 1.1 To lay down a procedure for operation of purified water distribution system. 2.0 SCOPE: 2.1 This procedure is applicable for the Purified water distribution system. 3.0 RESPONSIBILITY: 3.1 Operation: Concerned Utility Operator. 3.2 Monitoring: Officer Engineering. 3.3 Overall Responsibility: Engineering In charge. 4.0 ABBREVIATIONS 4.1 SOP : Standard Operating Procedure 4.2 QA : Quality Assurance 4.3 CC NO : Change Control Number 4.4 NMT : Not More Than 4.5 AV : Actuator Valve. 4.6 PLC : Programmable Logic Controller. 4.7 CM : Conductivity Meter. 4.8 PWT : Purified Water Tank. 4.9 MCB : Main Circuit Breaker. 4.10 HMI : Human Machine Interface. 4.11 UV : Ultraviolet 4.12 VFD : Variable Frequency Drive 4.13 PW : Purified Water 4.14 CFU : Colony Forming Unit 5.0 PROCEDURE : 5.1 SERVICE MODE: 5.1.1 Before starting the purified water distribution system check the level of PW Tank T-1101, it should be up to requirement (it should not be Low-Low). 5.1.2 If the level of tank is not up to the requirement then open the PW Inlet Port of Valve 119.14.ATT1-02 to fill up the tank. After achieving required level, close the PW Inlet Port of Valve 119.14.ATT1-02. 5.1.3 Ensure that Manual Valves MD1VT1-1202, MD1VT1-1301, MB2VT1-1601 are opened and Tank Drain Valve MD1VT1-1201 is closed during service mode. 5.1.4 Start the PW Distribution Pump P-1301/P-1302, start the UV system UV-1301. 5.1.5 Continuously monitor level, conductivity, flow (In HMI) & UV intensity indication on UV panel. 5.1.6 If the supply line conductivity at CT-1201 becomes High-High, open the dump port of valve AF1VT1-1301 to drain the water. 5.1.7 If the flow at FT-1501 is below the control set-point, increase the flow of pump by increasing the frequency of VFD (In HMI) to get the desired flow. 5.1.8 If UV lamp replacement indication is on, replace the UV lamp of same details. 5.1.9 Check the total microbial count (TMC) at sampling points, it should be < 100 cfu/ml. 5.1.10 PRECAUTION: Compressed air supply should not be less than 5 kg/cm2 ON to operate the PW distribution system. To Read this SOP click here SOP for Sanitization Of Purified Water Distribution System. 5.2 OPERATION: 5.2.1 MANUAL MODE ON: 5.2.1.1 Before starting the purified water distribution system check the level of PW Tank T-1101, it should be up to requirement (it should not be Low-Low). 5.2.1.2 If the level of tank is not up to the requirement then open the PW Inlet Port of Valve 119.14.ATT1-02 to fill up the tank. After achieving required level, close the PW Inlet Port of Valve 119.14.ATT1-02. 5.2.1.3 Ensure that Manual Valves MD1VT1-1202, MD1VT1-1301, MB2VT1-1601 are opened and Tank Drain Valve MD1VT1-1201 is closed during service mode. 5.2.1.4 Start the PW Distribution Pump P-1301/P-1302, start the UV system UV-1301. 5.2.1.5 Continuously monitor level, conductivity, flow (In HMI) & UV intensity indication on UV panel. 5.2.1.6 If the supply line conductivity at CT-1201 becomes High-High, open the dump port of valve AF1VT1-1301 to drain the water. 5.2.1.7 If the flow at FT-1501 is below the control set-point, increase the flow of pump by increasing the frequency of VFD (In HMI) to get the desired flow. 5.2.1.8 If UV lamp replacement indication is on, replace the UV lamp of same details. 5.2.1.9 Check the total microbial count (TMC) at sampling points; it should be < 100 cfu/ml. 5.2.2 MANUAL MODE OFF: 5.2.2.1 Stop Pump P-1301/P-1302. 5.2.2.2 OFF the UV Panel. 5.2.3 AUTO MODE ON: 5.2.3.1 Switch on the main power supply to the panel by means of starter switch at the bottom of the panel. 5.2.3.2 Switch on the MCB inside the control panel of powering the PLC and HMI. 5.2.3.3 Make sure that the utility supply i.e. compressed air is made available to the system. 5.2.3.4 Click LOG IN button on HMI and select the user level with it’s Password. And then click on Sign in button. 5.2.3.5 After signing Click ON PW distribution button. Now press the AUTO ON button. 5.2.3.6 After pressing the AUTO ON button HMI. Now the PW distribution system will run automatically, repeating all the function of the manual mode automatically. 5.2.3.7 After pressing auto mode. First system will check level in PW storage tank. If level is healthy then will start PW distribution pump and will start the UV , Then will check for conductivity if conductivity at suction line is healthy then will start to recirculate water in loop. IF conductivity is unhealthy then will open dump valve and start to drain the water. 5.2.3.8 Pump frequency of the VFD will maintain with respect to control set point of flow transmitter at return line. To stop the system press the STOP button and system will stop functioning automatically. 5.2.3.9 All monitoring parameter shall be recorded in log sheet of purified water distribution system. 5.2.3.10 Perform sanitization of water generation system as per SOP at a frequency 15 days. 5.2.4 AUTO MODE OFF: 5.2.4.1 To switch off the purified water distribution system in Auto mode, Click LOG IN button on HMI and select the user level with it’s Password. And then click on Sign in button After pressing the password button now press the login button and enter the PASSWORD. 5.2.4.2 After signing Click ON PW distribution button. Now press the AUTO OFF button. 5.2.4.3 After pressing the AUTO OFF button on HMI. Now the PW distribution system will off automatically. 5.2.4.4 Switch off the MCB inside the control panel of powering the PLC and HMI. 5.2.4.5 Now switch off the main power button. |
