1.0 OBJECTIVE:
1.1 To lay down a procedure for preventive maintenance of Purified Water treatment Plant.
2.0 SCOPE:
2.1 This procedure is applicable for the Purified water treatment plant.
3.0 RESPONSIBILITY:
3.1 Preventive Maintenance : concerned Technician/operator
3.2 Implementation & follow up: Officer/Supervisor Engineering
3.3 Overall Responsibility : In-charge Engineering

5.0 PROCEDURE:
5.1 SOFTENER PLANT:
5.1.1 Switch off the power supply.
5.1.2 Check Pressure quartz filter vessel and Softener vessel for any leakages.
5.1.3 Check the condition of mechanical seal of feed pump and abnormal noise in the Pump.
5.1.4 Check the Pressure and flow of water.
5.1.5 Check the leakages in pipe lines.
5.1.6 Check the level sensor given in the soft water tank.
5.2 PURIFIED WATER GENERATION PLANT (RO PLANT):
5.2.1 Switch off the power supply.
5.2.2 Check all the TC joints for any leakage.
5.2.3 Change the cartridge filter in every 15 +/- 2 days and record in the logbook of purified water generation.
5.2.4 Check the mechanical seal of Feed pump, High pressure pumps for any leakages and abnormal noise.
5.2.5 Check low pressure switch and high pressure switch for its setting and operation.
5.2.6 Check the conductivity sensor and transmitter for proper working.
5.2.7 Check the EDI for any leakages.
5.2.8 Check the electrical control panel for cleaning and tightness of all connections.
5.3 PURIFIED WATER STORAGE AND RECIRCULATION LOOP.
5.3.1 Check all the TC Joints for leakages.
5.3.2 Check the mechanical seal of recirculation pump for any leakages.
5.3.3 Change the UV Lamps after Every 5000 Running hour and record in to the Logbook.
5.3.4 Change the vent filter in every six month or at 0.1 Vacuum pressure and record in to the log book.
5.3.5 Check the pneumatic valves for its proper working.
5.3.6 Check the steam inlet valve to jacket of purified water storage tank for any Leakages.
5.3.7 Check the UV intensity meter and its sensor.
5.3.8 Check the UV running Hour meter for proper working.
5.3.9 Check the Zero dead leg valve given at the user points for any leakages.
5.3.10 Check electrical control panel for cleaning and tightness of connections.
5.3.11 Record the Maintenance work in respective checklist.
