Sanitization Of Purified Water Distribution System |
1.0 OBJECTIVE: 1.1 To lay down a procedure for Sanitization of purified Water Distribution system. 2.0 SCOPE: 2.1 This procedure is applicable for the purified water distribution system. 3.0 RESPONSIBILITY: 3.1 Sanitization Procedure: Concerned Technician. 3.2 Implementation: Officer Engineering. 3.3 Compliance: Head of Engineering Department 4.0 ABBREVIATIONS 4.1 CC NO : Change Control Number 5.0 PROCEDURE: 5.1 Precautions: 5.1.1 Inform to all concerned department before starting the sanitization. 5.1.2 Make sure that all valves at user points and sampling valves are closed. 5.1.3 Make sure that utilities required for the sanitization are available. i.e. compressed air at 4 kg/cm2 and steam at 110°C. 5.1.4 Make sure all the pump suction and discharge valves are kept open. 5.2 Sanitization Procedure For Water Distribution System: 5.2.1 Put the system in AUTO mode with the help of selector switch (AUTO/OFF/MANUAL) on the panel door. 5.2.2 Drain the water in storage tank (PWT-01) till the water level reaches 750Ltrs for sanitization by opening the drain valve or feed the water to reach 750Ltrs if the water level is low. 5.2.3 Press the SET PARAMETER button on the main screen to go to SET parameters for sanitization of distribution system. 5.2.4 Press the TS1001 for the sanitization parameter setting. 5.2.5 Enter the 88oC for High set point, Enter 85°C for Set point and Enter 75°C for Low set point. 5.2.6 Enter the 60 mins. for sanitization time. To Read this SOP Click Here SOP for Cleaning Operation and Qualification of incubator. 5.2.7 Enter the 5 minutes for abort time. 5.2.8 To put the system in sanitization mode turn ON the sanitization selector switch. 5.2.9 Ensure the temperature for sanitization as 85°C at which the system is to be sanitized. 5.2.10 The tank steam inlet valve (AV-08) will open and close depending on the temperature of the water for a pre settable time. As soon as the temperature of water in return line reaches above the specified value then actuated valve turns OFF. 5.2.11 During sanitization, all the valves and pumps except will be operational with the help of Selector switches and push buttons on the main door. 5.2.12 After completion of sanitization cycle, turn OFF the sanitization selector switch. 5.2.13 Empty the Distribution system by opening the drain valves. Also open up all the sampling valves in production while draining off the system. 5.2.14 Let the tank be as it is for atmospheric cooling for 15-20 mins. 5.2.15 Fill in fresh water in the tank and recalculate for 30 mins. 5.2.16 Again drain the whole system and fill fresh RO-EDI water. 5.2.17 The distribution system is now ready for operation. 5.2.18 Frequency for this procedure shall be Twice in month. 5.2.19 All parameter of sanitization shall be record in sanitization log sheet. |
