1.0 OBJECTIVE:
1.1 To lay down the procedure for Filter Cleaning of Air Handling Units and equipment’s.
2.0 SCOPE:
2.1 This procedure is applicable for the all air handling units and equipment’s.
3.0 RESPONSIBILITY:
3.1 Cleaning Procedure: Concerned Technician.
3.2 Implementation of Cleaning Procedure: Officer -Engineering.
3.3 Compliance of cleaning Procedure. : Head of Engineering Department and Head of concerned department.

5.0 PROCEDURE:
5.1 Switch OFF the power supply and isolate electrically.
5.2 Clean the Filters as per the Schedule of Cleaning of Filters.
5.3 Remove the filters from Air Handling Unit / Exhaust / Ventilation Unit, Supply and Return Duct and cover it with polythene bag.
5.4 Transfer the filters to filter cleaning room. Clean the filter with compressed air 20psig (1.2 Kg/cm²) & Clean Water.
5.5 Check the filter physically for any damages.
5.6 Check the filter frame for any damages to avoid bypassing the air.
5.7 Cover the cleaned filter with polythene bag, transfer it to Air Handling Unit / Supply, and fix it properly.
5.8 For filters in return risers fixed in production area, will be cleaned by production during the product change over.
5.9 Updating the record of Filter Cleaning in Annexure 2 for Filters of Air handling units and in annexure 3 for filters of equipment’s.
5.10 Frequency of Cleaning of AHU Filters: Pre filter (10 micron)- 15 ±2 days, Fine Filter (5 Micron)- 15 ±4 days.
