1.0 OBJECTIVE: 1.1 To lay down the procedure for movement of material from place to place in Warehouse. 2.0 SCOPE: 2.1 This procedure is applicable for the for movement of material from place to place in warehouse. 3.0 RESPONSIBILITY: 3.1 Assistant – Warehouse shall be responsible for movement of material from place to place in Warehouse. 3.2 Officer-Warehouse shall be responsible for compliance the activity of material movement in Warehouse. 4.0 ABBREVIATIONS 4.1 SOP : Standard Operating Procedure 4.2 QA : Quality Assurance 4.3 CC NO : Change Control Number 5.0 PROCEDURE: 5.1 Movement of Raw Material from Receiving Area to Quarantine. 5.1.1 Open the door of de dusting booth and receive the material. 5.1.2 After weighing and checking the material in material air lock room, open the door and take the material into the warehouse by means of trolley. 5.1.3 If the material is requiring controlled temperature take the material to controlled temperature quarantine area and places it on the pallets / racks. If the material is not requiring any cooling condition take the material and place the material in quarantine area racks. To Read this SOP click here SOP for Handling Of Retest Materials. 5.2 Movement of Raw Material from Quarantine Area to Approved /Rejected Material Storage Area. 5.2.1 After Quality Control affixes the approved labels / Rejects label, transfer the pallet carrying material to the dedicated area (Approved material storage area/ Rejected area) by means of trolley and place it on the respective area. 5.3 Movement of Raw Material from Approved Material Storage Area to Dispensing Area. 5.3.1 Take out the material from the respective rack and place it on trolley. 5.3.2 Transfer the trolley carrying material to the dispensing area. 5.3.3 Open the materials entry air lock door of the dispensing area transfer the material inside and close the door. 5.3.4 After dispensing is completed open inside door. Place the dispensed material / loose container on the trolley kept in the material entry air lock. 5.3.5 Open the door of entry / exit air lock of dispensing. Take out the trolley carrying dispensed material / loose container. 5.3.6 In case of dispensed material take the trolley carrying material to the dispensed material storage area. 5.3.7 In case of loose container take the trolley carrying material to its respective location. 5.4 Movement of Dispensed Material from Dispensed material storage Area to Production by Production Person. 5.4.1 Take the material loaded SS palates carrying dispensed material along with material Dispensing sheet/ or BMR. 5.4.2 Inform production department to open the material hatch and transfer the material through the suitable means of trolley to the production area. 5.4.3 Production will Carry the material to respective production rooms. To read this SOP click here SOP for Production Planning And Procurement For Contract Manufacturing. 5.5 Movement of Packing Material from Receiving Bay to Quarantine Area 5.5.1 Open the door and after entering ensure the door is closed at receiving area. 5.5.2 Unload the material on pallet. 5.5.3 Transfer the material on trolley, take the trolley inside the material air lock & inform to production department to received the material from air lock. 5.5.4 Production will take the respective air lock, ensure that one door of material air lock will open at a time. Production will receive the material & will place the materials on the respective line/area. 5.6 Movement of Packing Material from Quarantine Area to Approved Material Storage Area 5.6.1 After Quality Control release, remove the material from quarantine area and place it on the pallet. 5.6.2 Quality Control affixes the approved labels /Rejects label, then transfer the pallet carrying material to the dedicated area (Passed material storage rack/ Rejects area racks) by means of trolley and place it on the respective rack. 5.7 Movement of Stock Return Material from Production To Warehouse 5.7.1 Transfer the material from production to warehouse by means of trolley to staging area. 5.7.2 After checking all the materials keep the material to the rack from which it was originally dispensed. 5.7.3 Place the material on the respective rack. 5.8 Movement of Material from Production to Finished Goods Warehouse 5.8.1 Take the material from production to finished goods store by means of trolley along with Batch transfer Note. 5.8.2 Transfer the finished goods to finished good store room. 5.8.3 Open the door of air lock and take the material inside the finished goods warehouse. 5.8.4 Place the material in respective rack / pallet. 5.9 Movement of Material from Finished Goods Warehouse to Loading Area 5.9.1 Take out the material from respective rack / pallets on to the trolley. 5.9.2 Open the F.G. door and transfer the material to loading area by means of trolley. 5.9.3 Load the material in the vehicle after verification of physical condition of the vehicle. |
