1.0 OBJECTIVE: 1.1 To lay down a procedure for maintenance of Air Compressor. 2.0 SCOPE: 2.1 This procedure is applicable for Preventive Maintenance For Air Compressor. 3.0 RESPONSIBILITY: 3.1 Preventive maintenance procedure: Concerned Technician. 3.2 Implementation of preventive maintenance procedure: Officer Engineering. 3.3 Compliance of preventive maintenance procedure: Head of Engineering Department. 4.0 ABBREVIATIONS 4.1 SOP : Standard Operating Procedure 4.2 Hrs : Hours 4.3 CC NO : Change Control Number To Read this SOP click here SOP for Handling Of Non-Confirming Material. 5.0 PROCEDURE: 5.1 PROCEDURE FOR AIR COMPRESSOR 5.1.1 Switch off the main power supply by control panel and hang the Preventive maintenance Display board on the electrical control panel. 5.1.2 Check all nuts and bolts of the unit and motor foundation if it is found loose then tight the nut and bolts. 5.1.3 Check the v belt tension and motor pulley alignment. 5.1.4 Cleaning of the electrical panel by low compressed or hand blower. 5.1.5 Check the water leakages from cooling water inlet and outlet valve and all water connection joints, if found any leakages then repair or replace. (Start the cooling water pump for check the only this point). 5.1.6 Check the oil level if it is found less then make up with the recommended oil Castrol 150. 5.2 RUN HOUR SCHEDULE FOR AIR COMPRESSOR: 5.2.1 Air filter and oil filter can be changed in every 1000 to 1500 hrs. 5.2.2 Change the oil after every 3000 working hrs. 5.2.3 All suction and discharge valve assembly should be changed in every 3000 to 4500 hrs. 5.2.4 Cleaning of the intercooler and after cooler in every 3000 to 3300 hrs. 5.2.5 Every after 6000 Running hours- Replace the oil air filter ,suction and discharge valve service kit, oil wiper ring rider ring & piston replacement kit 5.2.6 Record all the observation in the preventive maintenance checklist and spare parts use. |
