1.0 OBJECTIVE:
1.1 To lay down a procedure for Preventive Maintenance of Boiler.
2.0 SCOPE:
2.1 This procedure is applicable for Preventive Maintenance of Boiler.
3.0 RESPONSIBILITY:
3.1 The concerned Technician shall carry out the Preventive maintenance Procedure.
3.2 The Officer Engineering should be responsible for implementation of Preventive maintenance Procedure.
3.3 Head of Engineering Department will be responsible for compliance of Preventive Maintenance Procedure.

5.0 PROCEDURE:
5.1 Switch Off the Power Supply from MCC.
5.2 Check the fuel pump for any abnormalities.
5.3 Clean the photocell of the boiler.
5.4 Check the fuel nozzle for 45 degree for any deformities, if found replace it.
5.5 Check the V-belt for any damage, if damage, replace.
5.6 Check the nut & bolts if loose tight that, if damage, replace.
5.7 Check feed water pump for leakages and check the condition of Teflon rigs.
5.8 Check the condition of the Economizer, if any leakages then rectify it.
5.9 Clean the diffuser plate of the boiler to prevent from black smoke.
5.10 Check the condition of the steam valve and replaces the gaskets.
5.11 Clean the steam trap assembly.
5.12 Check the Electrical motor for any abnormalities.
5.13 Check the electrical connections, if loose tightened it.
5.14 Record the observation on Maintenance checklist.
